A complete list of technical factors that affect indexing and rankings.
You can write great content, but without a technical foundation Google will not reward it. Here is the baseline checklist.
What to check
- robots.txt and sitemap.xml
- Canonical and no duplicates
- hreflang for language versions
- Speed and Core Web Vitals
- Structured data (schema.org)
- Mobile responsiveness
- HTTPS and clean redirects
Pay special attention to rendering. If the site is pure JavaScript without prerendering, indexing slows down.
Run a technical audit at launch and repeat quarterly so issues do not accumulate.
