Web Typography: A Practical Guide
How to choose fonts, sizes and line height for readability.

Typography is the most underrated design element. It defines how easily content is perceived.
Baseline rules
- 1–2 fonts maximum
- Body text size 16–18px
- Line height 1.5–1.7
- Line length 60–80 characters
- Clear contrast with the background
Good typography is invisible — it just lets you read comfortably. Bad typography repels immediately, even if the content is valuable.
Investing in the right fonts and rhythm pays off in longer time on site and higher conversion.
